Their passion led them to appreciate the beauty of 18th and 19th Century English Ceramics, Chinese Export, Delft, Paintings of all ages, furniture from all over the world as well as decorative arts.  And it was Peter Warren's business as CEO of PepsiCO International that allowed them to travel worldwide and gain a true appreciation of what was available to them from an artistic and creative perspective.  And so, Maria and Peter Warren Antiques was formed and they never looked back.  My mother would put her tall boots on and walk the fields of Brimfield when my father was off traveling and recount her many discoveries and purchases when he returned; they would do shows together and enjoy the many wonderful people they met along the way. 

In the 36 years we've been in business, I've come to know and love many of the people they cultivated relationships with.  I've also met more along the way because that's what this business is all about; the relationships, friendships and knowledge you trade as the years go by.  My parents taught me to to always ask questions and be curious because you will never stop learning as you find those treasures and you never stop enjoying the hunt as you look for those special pieces you know your collectors are seeking; but, if you think you know it all--you will be sure to miss something along the way.

It is always terrific and gratifying when you find that special something that puts a satisfied smile on a client's face because then you know you've done your job and done your job right.

Now we've taken the business to the next level...from just doing Antique Shows to a brick and mortar establishment in Monroe, CT at 150 Main St.  Our hours of operation are from Tuesday-Friday from 11:00-6:00pm and on Saturday from 12:00-6:00pm.  We are closed on Sunday and Mondays but we will open by appointment--just give us a call at 203-984-6174 or you can e-mail us at warrenantiques1@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.
